11:00 pm - birthdays and remembrances
|
Not sure why i mostly feel like blogging during tough times...guess it helps. But please don't get me wrong, things have been pretty darn good lately.
But on June 12th my baby girl would have been three years old if she'd made it. i miss her...lots...but am glad she is in a good place.
Just going to take some time to mourn her until then. She deserves for someone to remember her this way, and be glad for her soul's presence on Earth, however brief it was.

Rule #1: Don't think about your answer. Go with the first one in your head. Rule #2: Answer the questions before looking at my answers or the following interpretations.
1. You are walking in the woods. You are not alone. Who is with you? 2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal is it? 3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal? 4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing and before you is your dream house. How big is it? 5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence? 6. You enter the house. You walk in to the dining room and see the dining room table. What's on it? 7. You exit the house through the back door. Lying in the grass is a cup. What material is the cup made of? 8. What do you do with the cup? 9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. How far does it go out into the distance? 10. How will you cross the water?
1. You are walking in the woods. You are not alone. Who is with you? God
2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal is it? A quiet deer.
3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal? We look at each other, then i continue walking and she goes back to grazing.
4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing and before you is your dream house. How big is it? About 8000 sq feet with all the amenities.
5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence? No
6. You enter the house. You walk in to the dining room and see the dining room table. What's on it? Flowers and candles, not lit.
7. You exit the house through the back door. Lying in the grass is a cup. What material is the cup made of? Pewter.
8. What do you do with the cup? Pick it up and hold it and carry it with me.
9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. How far does it go out into the distance? To the horizon.
10. How will you cross the water? I won't. I'll stay nice and cozy at my home after a little swim.
And what it all means: 1. The person who you are walking in the woods with is the most important person in your life. 2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems in your life. 3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems. 4. The size of your dream home is representative of the size of your ambition to solve your problems. 5. No fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a close personality. You'd prefer people not drop by unannounced. 6. If your answer did NOT include food, flowers (plants), or people, then you are generally unhappy. 7. the durabililty of the material with the cup is made of is representative of the perceived durability of your relationship with the person you named in #1. 8. Your disposition of the cup is representative of your attitude toward person in #1 9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your sexual desire. 10. How wet you get in crossing the water is indicative of the relative importance of your sex life.
The interpretations have no more merit than what you assign them yourself, of course. There is no source given, so this could have been written by a panel at Johns Hopkins Mental Health Department, or some junior high kid with no better way to spend the time. Caveat lector

12:06 am - Sudden changes leading to contentment
|
Sometimes I'm amazed at how fast life can change. One moment things are looking stale, grey, lifeless, like a puddle of problems. The next, something happens and eyes light up, life is good, there is promise once more.
Sometimes I think that the dramatic lows are not good. I worry about myself. But then I see how good things can be compared to the low times...and I am thankful for the low times so that I can enjoy the highs THAT much more!
Now it's just a matter of riding the top of this wave for a while...think I'm due for a nice long surf up here! And whatever has caused this bright outlook...it doesn't matter. Because now I can see things more clearly because of the brightness.

9:39 am - splitting wood, not hairs!
|
Alrighty!
I'm about to go learn a new skill! AGAIN!
It's a gorgeous day out so I'm putting on my workboots, jeans, and skimpy top (which I might take off later depending on the safety of the situation). Hair thrown back into a pony and safety glasses and work gloves on. Now...here's hoping nobody drops by and sees me like this!
So I have a logsplitter in the yard now, loaned to me for the weekend. There's about a years worth of birch to be split and THANK GOD I don't have to use and axe to do it! But! The sad part is that a girl should NOT have to do this kinda stuff alone.
Ah well...if I don't, nobody will. So out I go to learn how to use a log splitter...
...and someone told me yesterday that he couldn't WAIT to see me in MN next week. It's too bad that I don't feel like much more than a friend and play partner with him! It's nice to hear that enthusiasm though!
Another friend just told me he "adores" me. I love that kinda stuff but just don't believe it 'cause I don't know him THAT well for him to say such things yet.
Yet another friend SAYS he's happy I'll be visiting next week but just doesn't seem...uhh...enthused I guess. It's like actions are not matching words there...I'll see how it goes and not split hairs there anymore.
So!! The yard WILL look nice for this party and in case I have to sell. I'm determined.
But I wish I was tubing down the Apple River with friends today instead.

6:30 pm - no clue stage...
|
So it's after work now on Wednesday. I'm at the "no clue what i'm going to do" stage from the last post in this journal.
..............sooooooooooooo.....i check emails, talk to a couple of good friends on yahoo.....
*sigh*
*listens to the clock ticking*
....guess i'll go mow the lawn and think about if i want to ask this vanilla person out...he's kinda hot and i know him through work...so it's a touchy situation. i've written him an email but haven't clicked *send* yet.
I'll go think about it.
